RHS All Class Reunion: Class Leads Update

RHS All Class Reunion 2020

Class Leads Update

A Message from Julie Buller

Greetings fellow RHS Alumni!

Your mission, that you have all agreed to take on, is one of the most critical roles in making the “All Class Reunion/Celebration of Riverton” an epic event and a huge success!  Unlike “Mission Impossible", this is "Mission Totally Possible"! THANK YOU in advance for all your hard work and support!

Riverton is rallying together: RHS/School District #25, Chamber of Commerce, City of Riverton, Balloon Rally Club...Riverton has decided the “All Class Reunion/Celebration of Riverton” will be the “new norm” for all future RHS class reunions.

This event is not just for RHS Alumni, it’s for spouses, parents, family, friends, coaches, teachers, etc., basically anyone that has an interest in Riverton, whether it be past, present or future! Over the years, class reunions have dwindled down in participation numbers for various reasons.  Riverton will continue to support an All Class Reunion/Celebration of Riverton every five (5) years to be held on the third weekend of July, beginning 2020.

Information about this epic event can be found on our web site and all forms of social media, which will be updated regularly with links so current and future generations can easily access the information at any given time.

The Steering Committee is doing the rest of the work in planning and will be providing you with updated information as our plans progress and as the event draws closer.  We have tried to think of everything we possibly can to cover all bases, however if you think of anything we may have forgotten as information unfolds, please do not hesitate to reach out and share your thoughts and information.

Your primary role & responsibility:
Notify ALL of your respective classmates, family & friends ASAP so everyone can “Save The Date” on their vacation schedules. Please let everyone know this weekend will be affordable for all!  Keep everyone updated as plans progress. Let them know this is the “new norm” for RHS class reunions, let them know this is every five years, the third weekend in July,. Let everyone know the social media sites that are available for them to gather information for current and future use.

Our web site is:
RHSAllClass.com. Our e-mail address is: rivertonhighschoolallclass@gmail.com, we can be found on Facebook at RHS All Class Reunion with our signature "Wally", Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat. I know e-mail and Facebook, so I’ll defer you to our "techie" committee members if you have questions about the other media.

As some of you may already know the 3rd weekend in July is the annual Balloon Rally, which already includes a fun-filled weekend with 6:00 a.m. balloon launches Saturday/Sunday mornings at the CWC Field, Friday Night Cruise night with activities on Main Street, and a Car Show on Saturday at CWC. July 17 & 18, 2020 will be the 40th Anniversary for the Balloon Rally, so how appropriate we will join forces to make this Riverton celebration EPIC by adding the All Class Reunion!

Friday night we will have open mic/stage at the Riverton Country Club, this will be a family event; “Riverton’s Got Talent.”  Start gathering your classmates, family, friends, and start rehearsing, or go solo!  I’m gathering my family and we plan to start rehearsal over the Christmas holiday since we will all be together.  Sure hope we can all remember our act/skit when July finally roles around!  That night there will be no-host beverages/cocktails, and a no-host dinner will be available as well.

Saturday after the balloon launch, we will offer a variety of activities you can register for: Golfing, a white water float trip in the Wind River Canyon (limited availability for both of these activities) with an RHS school bus already lined up to take the floaters to/from Thermopolis for their float trip! My personal favorite that I believe will be a hit is the “Rally Relay Games” that will be held at CWC. This is a family event! Teams will be formed the day of the event and each team will be made up of all ages, genders and physical abilities. These will be fun/silly games, with the winner being awarded a traveling trophy that will be proudly displayed, with a photo of the winning team in the Riverton High School Trophy Case!

Saturday night is “Adult Night” with social, dancing, no-host dinner and no host cocktails at the Riverton Country Club. We are currently working with RHS Future Business Leaders of America to see about arranging day-care services for those that may need it. We have reserved a block of rooms at most of the motels/hotels in Riverton and the School District #25 Superintendent has also agreed to allow folks to put up their tents and/or campers at Tonkin Field at the old High School football field.
Our first activity was a huge success; our “Alumni Float” in the RHS Homecoming Parade.  We will continue to have activities now and until the weekend of the big event to help promote the event, so please “stay tuned” to our Facebook page and website, and continue to share the information with your respective classmates. I realize those of you that do not live in the area will not be able to participate BUT we would like you to get the word out to your respective classmates, family and friends who do live in the area and provide them with the information as the activities unfold.

“THANK YOU” all so much for ALL your hard work and support!
Remember, MISSION TOTALLY POSSIBLE!  Go Big Red!!!
